We hope you will be able to join us for “Afternoon Delight: the Art of Wine with Expert Becky Sue Epstein” Saturday, June 25, from 4 to 6 PM. This special fundraising event will be held at a lovely home on Church Street overlooking Nobska Beach (location details will be sent with your registration confirmation email).

Tickets: $50 per person.

Tickets are limited to 75 members and must be purchased via:

All Tickets will be held at the door. No tickets will be mailed.
All attendees must be vaccinated and boosted against Covid.

Beginning with a question-and-answer session, led by toastmaster Jim Liljestrand, Becky Sue Epstein will discuss wine and its qualities, as well as pairing opportunities, with the audience. As part of this informative experience, attendees will sip Prosecco from their own commemorative glasses, commissioned especially for the event, and nibble on individually wrapped snacks.

Before and after this program begins, ticket holders will be able to circulate and view 30 lots of sealed boxes of bottles of wine that were donated to the occasion by Ms. Epstein as her gift to the museum.   

“These wines are aged anywhere from a few years to a few decades,” she noted. “Some older wines are elegant in their robes of gossamer fruit, while others retain mere nuances of fruit overlain by tones of tea, leather, piquant herbs, gentle tannins and/or minerality.”

Participants, assigned numbers on entry to the event, will be able to register silent donations to the Museum on registries associated with each box of wine, with between four and eight bottles of wine per box. At the afternoon’s conclusion, the individual who has registered to contribute the most money for a particular box will take home the sealed boxes. All donations to this fundraiser will be used to support the Woods Hole Historical Museum’s mission and annual operations.
