Sam Cahoon ran a prosperous fish business in Woods Hole during the first half of the twentieth century. He is remembered today for his wry wit and warm generosity. His market used to be located at the southern end of Luscombe Avenue across from the LeeSide Restaurant. All that's left of his once bustling shop is a tiny, pocket of a park sandwiched between the Steamship Authority and a private residence.
