Muriel Gould

I was born Oct. 12, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. I completed my education at Brooklyn College and Columbia University in speech therapy. For many years I worked as a speech therapist in NYC public schools and in Cleveland, Ohio.

I came to Woods Hole with my then husband who was connected to MBL. At some point we built a house on McGregor Rd. in Woods Hole, where we spent summers until I moved here full time.

After working in education I started to develop an acting career. In the beginning I worked at Mount Sinai Hospital acting as a patient for medical students. I branched out to work in radio, TV, and theater. I played the saleslady in the children's story "Corduroy" for my first paid film!

I love reading for Storyhour for Grownups at the library, playing Scrabble every week, visiting my children and grandchildren, and especially getting together with my longtime friends (YaYas) from community acting. Every year we get together at each others' homes, go to theater, sing showtune songs, and have a wonderful time together.
