Whimsical Boats

King Fisher
Whimsical model of a steam launch. The actual tender to Enterprise was Bystander, which still exists and is undergoing restoration at Narragansett Shipwrights in Newport, Rhode Island.
Nautilus
A version of Jules Vern's Nautilus (a steam powered surface running model). The radio controls the fin rudder and drive planes. The periscope doubles as a chimney. With a length of 42 inches and beam of 8 inches, she weighs 15 pounds.
Undertoad
Undertoad, named after Nonsuch from the Beverly Yacht Club in Marion, MA. Nonsuch is a 14 foot mini-tug designed by Berkley Engineering in California. There are several hundred of the real boats afloat. They are battery powered using golf cart electric motors, and they look like fun!
