Sava Morgan

Stony Beach goers in the 70's and 80's will remember the familiar presence of Sava Morgan, who came from her house around the corner on Millfield for her late afternoon swim. She was usually engaged in conversations with friends and acquaintances, regaling them with opinions and ideas on a vast array of subjects--delivered in a deep, Russian-accented voice. Her life had been full of adventures and interesting undertakings, mainly in art education. Besides being an art educator, she was a bold and accomplished painter, and tutored other painters in Woods Hole. She had three daughters.
