Ann Weissmann

I have been coming to Woods Hole every summer since 1970 and have slaved to keep body and soul together. My 3x a week exercise classes at the MBL Club have become a Woods Hole ritual. Most of the participants (99.9% female) are still vertical and the group, over the years, has formed a social club-within-a club. As for the "soul" part, in 2000 Cathy Norton appointed me curator of the Rare Books Collection of the MBL/WHOI Library, based on my prior experience at The New York Historical Society. I created an Arts and Science program and have produced 10 exhibitions, installed in the Meigs Room at Swope. The most recent show, celebrating the 125th anniversary of the MBL, has been extended through this summer.
