Visit of the catboat SARAH
The catboat Sarah is coming to town! This 23 foot long reproduction 1886 Crosby cat, built at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum in Hyannis will be sailing into Woods Hole in the last week in August. On Friday August 29, we will be hosting her and Mark Wilkins, Director of the CCMM and chief builder of the Sarah, in an open house at WHOI's Redfield dock, followed by a talk about her construction by Mark at 3 PM in the Woods Hole Library, followed by a reception in our courtyard. Do come! (n.b. Our own Gerald Ross, known more widely for his tiny ships-in-bottles, was one of the chief assistant boat builders on the Sarah project.)
