BELL TOWER GARDEN: Opposite St. Joseph's Church on Millfield Street is
a small garden sheltered from the road by a row of
hedges. Mrs. Francis Crane Lillie financed and was intimately involved in the design and creation of the Mary Garden and the stone bell tower. Her husband Frank R. Lillie was director of the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole from 1908 to 1926.
